Relive the golden age of DOS gaming with Commander Genius! This app allows you to play many Commander Keen games for free on your Android device. The officially released shareware versions (Episodes 1, 4, and Keen Dreams) are readily available for download directly within the app through the integrated CG store. Simply tap on the "+ More" button, select your desired game, and immerse yourself in classic platforming action.If the "+ More" button doesn't immediately appear next to "Start >" in the game list, please be patient. A quick restart of the app can often resolve this, as it depends on your internet connection and server availability.
Beyond the shareware episodes, Commander Genius also supports Episodes 2, 3, 5, and 6. To play these, you'll need to copy the game files to the designated data directory (refer to the readme file for detailed instructions). Episodes 2, 3, and 5 can be found on platforms like Steam. Episode 6 can be harder to come by (eBay might be a source). Unfortunately, we cannot distribute these episodes within the app store.
Commander Genius offers flexible control options. If you prefer not to use a gamepad, a virtual on-screen gamepad (VirtPad) can be enabled within the main menu under Configure -> Overlay -> VirtPad.
