This comparison is crucial for making informed weather predictions. To perform this calculation, the app requires your permission to access your location.

The app features background pressure monitoring, specifically engineered for mobile barometer usage. The pressure monitor compensates for changes in location and altitude by reducing all recorded pressures to sea level. To utilize background monitoring, the app needs continuous access to your background location.

Beyond weather prediction, barometric pressure monitoring can be beneficial for individuals with barometric migraine headaches and other pressure-sensitive medical conditions like arthritis, where changes in barometric pressure can trigger or exacerbate symptoms.

For devices equipped with a barometer sensor, the app uses the phone's atmospheric pressure measurements to calculate the sea level adjusted barometric pressure.
