This app is compatible with nearly any type of SMS-controlled device. Sending SMS to public services for tasks such as buying bus tickets, paying for public parking, participating in SMS voting, or engaging in chats has never been easier.

BACKUP-RESTORE
Each tab’s settings can be saved to simple text files on your SD card. Avoid wasting time reconfiguring GSM Control manually.
***BE SURE TO BACKUP IN THIS WAY BEFORE*** ever (un)installing GSM Control! Otherwise, Android erases all its settings during uninstall. Backups made in this manner (to SD card) are not affected. More details in "BACKUP-RESTORE" below.

TECHNICAL:
- Each recipient/tab can have its own name and phone number.
- Each tab can have one or more buttons.
- Each button has a title (the text displayed on the button) and a command (the SMS message that is sent).
- Each button can be configured to send an SMS immediately, dial the number, or ask for confirmation before sending.
- Sent and delivery reports are available.
- All sent messages are logged in your "sent" items.

BACKUP-RESTORE:
***BE SURE TO BACKUP IN THIS WAY BEFORE*** ever uninstalling the app! Otherwise, there is no way to recover your settings if you reinstall.

1) BACKUP creates a single XML file for the active tab (preference_ur_0, preference_ur_1, ..ur_2). For the RESTORE function to work, the filename must be *exactly* like that.

2) The numbers in the filename (0, 1, 2...) represent individual tabs. If you backup->rename->restore these files, you can "move" the settings between tabs and copy settings between multiple Android devices!

3) If you reinstall the app (or move it to another phone), manually create the desired number of tabs from within the app. Then, use the restore function in each individual tab to import all its settings.

PERMISSIONS:
SEND_SMS - Required to send SMS messages, obviously.
READ_PHONE_STATE - Some newer phones require this permission to send SMS.
READ_CONTACTS - Used to access your phonebook for selecting a tab's name and phone number.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Used to backup/restore individual tab settings to a text file on your SD card.
