Backgammon Basics and Rules / How to Play

Each player controls a set of Backgammon checkers. Your home board is where you bear off, with the opponent's starting point directly opposite. The objective is to be the first to remove all your checkers from the board. Leaving a checker single creates a blot, allowing your opponent to temporarily remove it. Once you've moved all fifteen checkers to your home board, you can start "bearing off".

Hints: If you can't bear off any checkers by the game's end, your opponent scores a gammon, a double victory.
