**How to Use the Ruler App:**

**Photo Ruler mode:**

1. Ensure the object you want to measure and a reference object of known length (Base Item) are in the same picture. The app provides a list of predefined Base Items (e.g., credit card, quarter) in the settings. Choose the one closest in size to your target object.
2. Make sure the Base Item and the object you're measuring are in the same plane, and the camera is (or was) parallel to them. This minimizes image distortions caused by camera perspective.
3. Align the blue arrows with the Base Item and the green arrows with the object you're measuring. The object's length will be displayed on the screen.

**On-Screen Ruler Mode:**

Use the screen as a traditional ruler. Measure small objects by placing them on the device's screen and adjusting the line limiters. If the scale appears stretched or shrunken, manually recalibrate the ruler in the settings. On-screen ruler calibration can be achieved using various Base Items, such as a credit card or coin. Choose between Imperial (inches) and Metric (centimeters) units.

**Accuracy:**

When markers are accurately aligned, measurements are as precise as those obtained with a traditional ruler or tape measure.
