Site Editorial Commentary：The 9NEWS app brings you the latest breaking news, videos, sport and weather.

Stay informed with the updated 9news app, your go-to source for the latest breaking news from a reliable team of journalists. Customize your alerts to ensure you never miss the stories that matter most to you. With over 60 years of experience covering Australia and the world, 9NEWS is a news source you can trust.

Enjoy a completely redesigned app experience where you can easily swipe through news articles and videos. Subscribe to a variety of alerts, including Sport, Politics, World, Finance, weather, Entertainment, and Technology, tailoring your news feed to your interests.

The app's geo-targeting feature alerts you to 'News Near Me,' sending notifications about breaking news within a few kilometers of your current location. Simply allow location access when prompted to receive timely updates about traffic delays, accidents, fires, floods, and Police operations in your vicinity.

We understand the importance of minimizing interruptions, so our team is committed to sending only the most relevant and interesting alerts. These alerts are delivered silently, without an audible tone, to avoid disturbances.

Personalize your news experience by setting your location by City or postcode. This ensures you receive additional stories from your state and accurate weather forecasts for your specific area.

Easily manage your alert subscriptions within the app's Settings screen. Adjust your preferences to receive the perfect amount of notifications – whether you want more or fewer alerts.
