Specifically designed to empower users, especially California residents exercising their rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), AppChoices provides a clear and straightforward way to manage how your data is used for advertising purposes.

AppChoices offers transparency by listing participating companies and enabling you to limit their collection of cross-app data used to create interest-based ads. Powered by the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) and supported by the DAA’s independent accountability program, AppChoices allows you to opt out of interest-based advertising from specific companies or choose to opt out from all participating companies with a single click.

Many ads you see in apps are tailored to your predicted interests based on your app usage. This is known as interest-based advertising (IBA). AppChoices puts you in control, allowing you to decide whether you want to receive this type of advertising, which relies on cross-app data gathered across various apps and devices. To opt out of IBA with a particular company, simply toggle the switch next to the company’s logo from “ON” to “OFF.” With AppChoices, you decide which, if any, participating companies can deliver interest-based advertising to your device.

When it comes to ads in your apps based on your interests, the choice is yours.

California residents can also utilize AppChoices to submit requests to opt out of the sale of personal information under the CCPA for this device, either for specific companies or all participating companies. To request an opt-out for a particular company, set the Status button next to the company's logo to "Send." Select "CA Opt Out Send All" to opt out from all listed companies. For more information about a company's policies, simply click on its logo.
