MehrWetter is a helpful service app designed to provide comprehensive weather information for Germany and Europe. Stay informed about the latest weather conditions and plan your day with confidence.

The app offers precise, location-based weather forecasts, including severe weather alerts, overview information for both German and European weather patterns, and tailored weather-related notifications to help you optimize your leisure activities.

Detailed weather information provided includes:
• Current weather conditions for your current location and up to 10 individually selected locations within Germany and Europe.
• 10-day forecasts for chosen locations with detailed 3-hour interval data.
• Severe weather warnings for selected locations with comprehensive warning texts, accurate to postal code or geo-coordinates.
• Notifications (push messages) for aCute severe weather warnings up to 48 hours in advance – available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
• Notifications (push messages) for black ice, heatwaves (above 30 degrees Celsius), air frost (below -10 degrees Celsius), and the first ground frost of the season.
• Detailed map views for Germany with current weather animations (precipitation, clouds, lightning).
• Previous day's top lists: daily values for temperature (min/max), maximum precipitation, wind speed, and sunshine duration.
• Weather forecasts tailored for leisure activities (rated in three levels of suitability) such as cycling, walking, golf, winter sports, grilling, sailing, sunbathing, excursions, park visits, and stargazing.
• Notifications (push messages) regarding forecasts for conducting leisure activities.

The severe weather warnings and weather advisories are sourced from the Unwetterzentrale (severe weather center) of the UBIMET Group. Warnings are issued by meteorologists at the Unwetterzentrale for acute storms/hurricanes, heavy rain, heavy snowfall, thunderstorms (with heavy rain, hail, and strong gusts), black ice, the first ground frost, air frost below -10 degrees Celsius, and heatwaves above 30 degrees Celsius. All severe weather warnings are postal code accurate, while weather advisories are displayed for larger areas.

For weather and severe weather forecasts, the app utilizes various internationally leading and proprietary weather models, as well as specialized analysis methods and algorithms. These are supplemented by diverse observation data from national weather services and data from other networks, such as UBIMET's own lightning detection network. Under the supervision and constant review of meteorologists at the Unwetterzentrale, the current weather situation is optimally assessed, enabling early and carefully targeted forecasts.
