The 'carteira Digital de Trânsito' (CDT), or Digital Traffic Wallet, is the next step of the CNH Digital (Digital Driver's License). Besides offering a digital version of your Carteira Nacional de Habilitação (CNH), this app now allows you to download the digital version of your Certificado de Registro e Licenciamento de Veículo – CRLV (Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate), also known as Vehicle Document.IMPORTANT:
- Before downloading the application to use the Digital CRLV, check if your state in Brazil is enabled to issue the Digital CRLV.
- To use the Digital CNH, make sure your printed CNH already has a QR Code on the back (CNHs issued from May 1, 2017, onwards).
The Digital CNH and Digital CRLV are digital versions of the National Driver's License and the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate, respectively, and hold the same legal value as their printed counterparts.
The digital versions offer additional advantages, providing greater mobility, convenience, and practicality through:
- Easy sharing of information via PDF export with a digital signature (.P7S) in the ICP-Brasil standard, holding legal validity according to MP 2.200-2/2001. This eliminates the need for printing and/or scanning documents, as well as dispensing with notarial authentication.
- AuthentiCity, reliability and integrity can be easily validated through the Vio application. Simply download the Vio app and point the reader to the QR Code on your digital document.
