GAME RULES:
1. Aim of the Game:
Score as many points as possible while having fun!
2. Rolling Dice:
Yamb can be enjoyed solo or with a group. A complete game consists of 48 rounds. Players take turns rolling six dice. After each roll, a player chooses which dice to keep (if any) and which to re-roll. Players have up to three rolls per turn to optimize their score. At the end of the turn, the player selects their best matching result, using only five dice for scoring.
The score table consists of 12 rows and 4 columns where you record your dice roll results. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.
3. Column Down:
In the "Column Down", the scoring order progresses from top to bottom.
4. Free Column:
The "Free Column" allows you to score in any order you choose.
5. Column Up:
The "Column Up" is the opposite of "Column Down"; the scoring order goes from bottom to top.
6. "N" Column (Announcement):
In the "Announcement" column, you can only score if you announce your intended combination before rolling all the dice at once. Announce by clicking on the corresponding box.
7. Rows "1", "2", "3", "4", "5", and "6":
These six rows represent simple number combinations. The score is the sum of all dice showing that number (e.g., the "1" row is the sum of all ones).
8. "Sum" Row:
This row calculates the sum of the scores from rows 1 through 6. If the sum exceeds 60, you receive a bonus of 30 points.
9. "Max" Row:
The goal of this row is to achieve the highest possible score.
10. "Min" Row:
The goal of this row is to achieve the lowest possible score.
11. Max - Min "Sum" Row:
The score in this row is calculated using the formula: (Max - Min) x (number of ones in the first row).
For example: (27 - 8) x 4 = 19 x 4 = 76.
12. "S" – Straight:
Valid Straight combinations are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. If you roll a Straight on the first try (without re-rolls), the score is 66. With one re-roll, the score is 56. With two re-rolls, the score is 46.
13. "F" – Full House:
A Full House consists of three dice showing one number and two dice showing another number. A Full House is worth 30 points.
14. "P" – Poker:
A Poker is four dice showing the same number. A Poker is worth 40 points.
15. "Y" – Yamb:
Yamb is the highest-scoring combination, consisting of five dice showing the same number. A Yamb is worth 50 points.
16. "Sum" (Big Bonuses) Row:
This row sums the scores from the previous four rows (S + F + P + Y).
