Key Considerations:
▸ It's recommended to disable the Android system's “Delete permissions if not used” option to maintain continuous device protection.

▸ The app utilizes Accessibility services when the "Lock" feature is active. This is used to block device access by displaying an "Access Denied" overlay.

▸ The Power Button Lock feature is only supported on Android versions prior to 9 due to later Android versions incorporating stricter limitations.

▸ For Android 12 and later, Prey requires access to Management of All Files. This permission enables comprehensive "File Retrieval" *Pro*, extending beyond just images and videos.

▸ The app requires Device Administrator permission to enable the Remote Wipe and Lock features *Pro*.

▸ Prey requests access to location data in the background to facilitate geotracking and *Pro* geofencing, along with location history features, even when the app is not actively in use. While most Android devices automatically grant the necessary permissions, some devices, particularly Huawei & Xiaomi, may require manual granting of additional permissions.
