For example, if the ground contains A (value 1), 7, K, and 8, a player holding an 8 can capture the 8, along with the A and 7 (1+7=8). A player with a K can only capture a K from the ground.
5. Playing a J or Diamond 7 allows you to capture all cards on the ground.
6. A "Basra" occurs when the ground is empty, and the next player discards a card. If the following player holds a card of the same rank, they capture the discarded card as a "Basra," earning a bonus.
7. Another way to achieve a "Basra" is when the cards on the ground sum up to the value of a card in the player's hand. For example, if the ground has 10, 5, 4, and 1, and the player holds a 10, they capture the cards as a Basra. Similarly, if the ground has 8, 7, and 1, and the player holds an 8, they capture the cards.
8. The Diamond 7 is a special card, also known as "Al Komi," and can act as either a J (capturing all cards) or can be used to capture a Basra of any value.
9. Avoid holding onto a J or Diamond 7 as your last card, as your opponent might capture it as a "Basra" on their next turn.
10. Once the dealer's cards are depleted, the total cards each player has are counted, and the player with the most cards gets the point. The number of "Basras" each player has is also tallied, and each player gets the Basra bonus.
11. Multiple rounds are played, with players alternating as dealer, until a target score is reached, determining the winner.
