chess for Android is a comprehensive chess application featuring both a robust chess engine and a user-friendly graphical interface (GUI). Interact with the game using the touch screen, trackball, or keyboard input (e.g., 'e2e4' to advance the king's pawn, 'e1g1' to castle kingside). The optional 'move coach' intelligently highlights valid moves for the user during input, and also displays the engine's last move, aiding in learning and strategy.Full game navigation is provided, allowing users to easily correct mistakes or deeply analyze previous games. Import and export games using FEN/PGN formats to and from the clipboard or via sharing options. Load and save games as files, or use the position editor to set up custom scenarios. The application accurately recognizes Draws by stalemate, insufficient material, the fifty-move rule, and threefold repetition.

**** SAD NOTE on ANROID 10 ****
New security restrictions of API 29 (mandatory for updates) no longer allow running arbitrary binaries, only pre-packaged binaries (see my thread at http://talkchess.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=75987). Thanks for your kind understanding, this is out of my control!
